On November 26, 2011 Gardens President Alan MacKinnon received a Distinguished Service
Award from the Nicholas G Beram Veterans Association. This award was established in 1968 to recognize and acknowledge
those individuals who have contributed significantly to perpetuate the heritage and promote the general welfare of the American-Arabic
