     This National Historic Landmark is 179 acres of rolling fields, woodland trails and was the location of the experimental society of Transcendentalists who lived on the farm in the 1840's.  These settlers were some of the first to hear the brilliance of the music of Beethoven.  A recent article in the Boston Globe can be read here. On July 14th and 21st, 2010
The Gardens hosted lunch for visitors from all over the country
